After 17 minutes of play, Berserkers FC Ψ's Olliver Van Meirhaeghe made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steve Harris in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Olliver Van Meirhaeghe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. When Olliver Van Meirhaeghe came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Berserkers FC Ψ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olliver Van Meirhaeghe couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Berserkers FC Ψ's Marcos Burni got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radowit Furlit struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berserkers FC Ψ. A collision led to Berserkers FC Ψ getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Olliver Van Meirhaeghe hit a great ball. Hektor Liberoyiannis's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hektor Liberoyiannis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Berserkers FC Ψ's Hektor Liberoyiannis got a free kick in the 47th minute. Berserkers FC Ψ's Marcos Burni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Berserkers FC Ψ from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steve Harris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Steve Harris tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute Berserkers FC Ψ were awarded a corner. The Berserkers FC Ψ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 57th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Leguizamo to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Steve Harris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Olliver Van Meirhaeghe scored 0-8 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Olliver Van Meirhaeghe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olliver Van Meirhaeghe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. In the 71st minute Olliver Van Meirhaeghe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Berserkers FC Ψ booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Harris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. In the 80th minute, Steve Harris reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 0-10. In the 84th minute, Steve Harris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Harris in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Salvador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jim Mannell was slow to take the kick. During this time Berserkers FC Ψ's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Iosif Budulea heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 90th minute, Radowit Furlit ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. In the 95th minute of the match Jim Mannell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Zorita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Berserkers FC Ψ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
