An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Sydney Quirino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Shantala kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 14thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Ecuador's keeper Julio Vera was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 16th minute CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ were awarded a corner. Adriano de Brito went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Sydney Quirino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Vicente Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Shantala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Shantala, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Emerson Leão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Shantala in the 99th minute of the match.
