But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimas Bravo couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Paulo Eiró notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Valadas booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marshall Graham didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Valadas's Paulo Eiró nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 19 minutes, Jerónimo Álvares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valadas and the Curacao players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Valadas getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jerónimo Álvares hit a great ball. Valadas's Henrique Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Troy Kennedy in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Sílvio Azenha made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Davies in the 29th minute of play forced Valadas's goalkeeper Henrique Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Charles Cox put in a rough tackle. Charles Cox hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Azenha in the 35th minute of play. Sílvio Azenha hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Sílvio Azenha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Lochlan Newman got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Curacao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valadas were winning 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Eiró to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sílvio Azenha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Azenha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Troy Kennedy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Valadas's Dimas Bravo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Paulo Eiró received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Lochlan Newman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curacao and the Valadas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Lochlan Newman hit a great ball. If Sílvio Azenha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Curacao's Bruno Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Curacao from getting a goal against them. In the 76th match minute, Valadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torcato Taborda to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dimas Bravo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 78 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Valadas's Bruno Barrett threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulo Eiró, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 91st match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Davies to maneuver through the defense. Armindo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. Valadas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
