Adestiempo Juniors's Honorato Primo got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Honorato Primo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Domingos Lencastre notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Honorato Primo. Joel Gaona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Honorato Primo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd play minute Luca Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Honorato Primo. 2-1. 25 minutes into the match, Domingos Lencastre notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Honorato Primo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. After 36 minutes, Angel Nuñez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Adestiempo Juniors and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. 40 minutes into the match, C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's goalkeeper Honorato Primo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. After a rather tough play, C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's Dario Abastas got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Filomeno De Putter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 76th minute of play forced C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's goalkeeper Honorato Primo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorato Primo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 82nd minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honorato Primo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Facundo Cadaval's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Honorato Primo was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's Honorato Primo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 94th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
