Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bernardo Raggio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bernardo Raggio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Belgrano de Pibasog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Fortun to maneuver through the defense. Judas Verón struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano de Pibasog. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Belgrano de Pibasog booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luz Tejedor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Raggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonso Berganza made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Moises Gayoso. In the 38th minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón. But to his dismay, Judas Verón quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Judas Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Judas Verón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Judas Verón made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Alonso Berganza in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgrano de Pibasog's Clemente Gaizkine. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Belgrano de Pibasog made a substitution. Melquiades Henrico replaced Justino Frederico. Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca was substituted for Judas Verón. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eustaquio Fortun was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgrano de Pibasog's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Eustaquio Fortun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. In the 83rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 90th minute of the game Clemente Gaizkine made a throw-in which Silvio Abadia played forward. 91 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Raggio. Belgrano de Pibasog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Gallo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 95th minute, Iulian Ilinca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Belgrano de Pibasog had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
