Lautaro Puig scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Pirani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelo Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 25th minute. Aesir FC FSCMZ's attentive Guga Barros managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Noboa took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Pirani. Marcelo Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Andrézinho Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Guga Barros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franklin Lira was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Aesir FC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Mattos. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Marcelo Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Pirani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Evandro Mattos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abel Carballo, made in the 56th minute of the game. Aesir FC FSCMZ's attentive Hélio Cosme managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. Marcelo Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Costa Rica were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Aesir FC FSCMZ's much stronger midfield.
