Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Alípio Torres made a huge save. In the 57th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alípio Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Alípio Torres however easily saved by the left post. In the 89th match minute, Jabones Tocadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Estevez to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Jabones Tocadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Mena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Jabones Tocadores had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
