Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerardo Abeitia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 27th minute Chamaicó were awarded a corner. Ismael Cordarrel went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Chamaicó's Ismael Cordarrel to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Abeitia in the 28th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes Chamaicó got a freekick which was hit by Leigh Gibbons. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebati Çiftçibaşı in the 31st minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A wasted opportunity for Chamaicó. 55 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Abeitia came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincente Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebati Çiftçibaşı. In the 95th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Sebati Çiftçibaşı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chamaicó's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebati Çiftçibaşı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chamaicó's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
