Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nicolas Sancho made the kick off which started today's match. Feliciano Pancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodrigo Ferdinand went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Tobias Osoro in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Osoro saved Boquenses from getting behind. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Axel Tasis sped through Boquenses's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tobias Osoro. Nunez Gabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Rodrigo Ferdinand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boquenses fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 22 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boquenses the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Severino Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Osoro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 32nd minute. The Boquenses fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Boquenses's Nicolas Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nicolas Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Nicolas Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boquenses's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Sancho came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stein Geest struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boquenses. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Sancho got free with Benito Sanz in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Nicolas Sancho put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 56 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Sancho came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Boquenses's Rodrigo Ferdinand slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-6 after 60 minutes of play. Nicolas Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodrigo Ferdinand went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Nicolas Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. Nicolas Sancho made a great header on Boquenses's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. The attack was good, but when Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 72nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Rodrigo Ferdinand sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Rodrigo Ferdinand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boquenses fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-8. Nicolas Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Ferdinand. In the 88th minute, Boquenses's Feliciano Pancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-10. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Nicolas Sancho notched a goal, 1-11, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boquenses were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
