The Pindobassu EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mário Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeff Beck, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, Pindobassu EC's Wilfredo Rodriguez got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Pindobassu EC's corner Nilmar Vargas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joaquin Gayoso quite easily take care of the ball. Gilberto Cordeiro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. Alessandro Pavard's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alessandro Pavard helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pindobassu EC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Alessandro Pavard hit a great ball.

Pindobassu EC's Wilfredo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 58th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wilfredo Rodriguez. Pindobassu EC's Víktor Donatello was substituted for Alessandro Pavard. When Pindobassu EC's Jeff Beck in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pindobassu EC:s goal. 1-2 came through a penalty shot after 91 played minutes, when Pindobassu EC:s Jeff Beck calmly waited for Uruguay:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. After 94 minutes, Francisco Seco made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Pindobassu EC's Wilfredo Rodriguez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
