This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Marco Day as he didn't even see the shot coming. Gilmar Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Ademir Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rdth minute of the game Cassius Byrne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matungo Gaúcho's Ademir Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the last second Ademir Baptista throw himself and got hold of the ball when Cassius Byrne in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 75th minute of the match, Monty Rogers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ademir Baptista saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Khalid Parry in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ademir Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Ademir Baptista in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Matungo Gaúcho support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
