Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Catalino Rivarola kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Abram Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Hendrickx having to interfere. Kevin Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Isaias Matas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute of the game Orlando Tafalla made a throw-in which Santino Seco played forward. In the 29th match minute, Olavarria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Bordon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 35th minute of play forced Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Michel Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Michel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's Isaias Matas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Matas in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Olavarria FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Robby Van Steen hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes Olavarria FC got a freekick which was hit by Robby Van Steen. Axel Montenegros short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Michel Hendrickx to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 65 minutes, Ervigio Ojeda made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Olavarria FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ervigio Ojeda in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. If Ervigio Ojeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ervigio Ojeda, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Michel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ervigio Ojeda might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ervigio Ojeda ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ervigio Ojeda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Michel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
