Dr Lecter SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Da Guía was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Dridu came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Omid Kaulbach ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 25th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Trevisan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celso Trevisan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Celso Trevisan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascual Carballar went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Corneliu Dridu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Corneliu Dridu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan got control of the ball when Pascual Carballar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Corneliu Dridu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celso Trevisan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Luis Cazalla got a free kick in the 58th minute. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 60th minute of play. Antonio Indiano kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Laércio Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Laércio Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Laércio Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Laércio Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dr Lecter SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 80th minute of play. Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Ma Wei Jun came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Wes Vranx replaced Dieguinho de Medeiros. Dr Lecter SC's Wanderson Fernandez was substituted for Omid Kaulbach. Corneliu Dridu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dr Lecter SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
