Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Manchester United FC's Manfred Rudqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bruno Martini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Manchester United FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Martini. The Manchester United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Martini should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute Manfred Rudqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ľubomír Timčo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Manfred Rudqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Martini. That made the score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ľubomír Timčo in the 43rd minute of the match. The Manchester United FC fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Manchester United FC's Ľubomír Timčo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 46th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Martini was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Freek Tamminga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bruno Martini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Martini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 61st minute of play. Bruno Martini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Glauco Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ľubomír Timčo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Martini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute of play. Bruno Martini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Martini came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Manchester United FC's Ľubomír Timčo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 5-2 after 89 minutes of play. Camilo Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Ecuador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
