After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Pacifico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Sindo to strike the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Sindo in the 52nd minute of the match. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Patricio Rey Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Virgilio Pacifico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Narciso Sindo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Patricio Rey Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Sindo couldn't finish the play. When Saturnino Harri was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Saturnino Harri got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Patricio Rey Futbol Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
