Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalie prevented a goal. Benny Stolpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 5th minute of the match. Rigoberto Mina was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. Benny Stolpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Benny Stolpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute of the match, Freddy Basajaun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 33rd minute of the game Boruc Gajewski made a throw-in which Aldo Rito played forward. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Stolpe having to interfere. Marcos Aires made in the 47th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aldo Rito immediately put the ball in play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Freddy Basajaun to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Bernardo Montel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddy Basajaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd match minute, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Aires to maneuver through the defense. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Aires during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes C.A. BOCA JUNIORS got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Aires. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Gai in the 75th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Freddy Basajaun missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 84 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Jonathan Ferrant right hand side. Marcos Aires hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.A. BOCA JUNIORS.
