José Luis Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luka Harris in the 39th minute of the match. Luka Harris might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Luis Chilavert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luka Harris ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballet Azul's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter George in the 44th minute of play. Eladio Ulloa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

With a left leg José Luis Chilavert saved Ballet Azul from getting behind. José Luis Chilavert was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Theo Burton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Theo Burton really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Canada's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
