Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. Mehis Nugin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. Zoilo Hoz might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zoilo Hoz ran back to his position shaking his head. Bilbo Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Carlo Citrullo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Alberto Tafalla put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mehis Nugin. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Urtzi Zamorano sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. In the 32nd minute of the match Spor Las Huevas got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zoilo Hoz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mehis Nugin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 39th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehis Nugin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehis Nugin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 40th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Urtzi Zamorano came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Spor Las Huevas made a substitution. Lartaun Riera replaced Carlo Citrullo. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caio Hornilla to make the kick off. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lartaun Riera in the 55th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match Spor Las Huevas got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zoilo Hoz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mehis Nugin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes Spor Las Huevas got a freekick which was hit by Horado Oton. Mehis Nugin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 83rd minute of play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Spor Las Huevas's Mehis Nugin got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
