The RACIN DE CHAWEN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Pedriza should have stopped the shot. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Verdeja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rufo Serra. Santino Seco took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Pedriza. Marco Pedriza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 21st minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pedriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufo Serra in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Axel Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Caetano Galnares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Caetano Galnares slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 33rd minute. 41 minutes into the match, Otto Kartasasmita notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rufo Serra got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 46 played minutes RACIN DE CHAWEN got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Flores. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Abram Sarmiento's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marco Pedriza firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 56 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Axel Montenegro. Antonio Indiano hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see RACIN DE CHAWEN's Otto Kartasasmita in action when he in the 58th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 61 minutes into the match, Otto Kartasasmita notched a goal, 6-3, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Kartasasmita couldn't finish the play. Marco Pedriza made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Kevin Mastache sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 95th minute of play forced RACIN DE CHAWEN's goalkeeper Marco Pedriza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Verdeja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RACIN DE CHAWEN's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
