After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Mela Banco's zone, Jaime Cazalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loco Gatti came out of the goal and Jaime Cazalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Sauveur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Sauveur, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Sauveur went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Loco Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Bruno Sauveur sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Bruno Sauveur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Sportivo Mela Banco's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Loco Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Bruno Sauveur struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Mela Banco. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Sauveur in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Franco. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Sauveur, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Loco Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Bruno Sauveur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso.
