An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 4th minute of play forced Jundiaí -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Júnior Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júnior Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 9th minute of play forced Jundiaí -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Júnior Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Franklin Gaspar, made in the 14th minute of the game. In the 15th minute, Rubens Barrichello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Camilo Franco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Júnior Tasso skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Faria during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erasmo Faria hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Jundiaí -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Júnior Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franklin Gaspar made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. If Wilson Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Jundiaí -DMZ- getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Lando Norris hit a great ball. Júnior Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Jundiaí -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Tasso having to interfere. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alberto Gisbert sped through Jundiaí -DMZ-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júnior Tasso. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráusio Moura was the one to do the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lando Norris in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, Jundiaí -DMZ-'s Wilson Meireles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 56 minutes, Wilson Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jundiaí -DMZ-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franklin Gaspar hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jundiaí -DMZ-'s Conrado Gerber was substituted for Rubens Barrichello. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Jundiaí -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Jundiaí -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Júnior Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Júnior Tasso in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Júnior Tasso made a huge save. After 77 minutes, Camilo Franco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Jundiaí -DMZ- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. When Wilson Meireles came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Jundiaí -DMZ- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Meireles couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Erasmo Faria in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Júnior Tasso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maximiliano Escribano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 96 minute of play. Uruguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
