Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Galnares went, in the 2nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Erlantz Duran kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Colombia's Axel Montenegro tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Roldán Vega made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marcelino Verdeja. But to his dismay, Marcelino Verdeja quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 19th minute of play. After 20 played minutes RACIN DE CHAWEN got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Flores. Abram Sarmiento might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Pedriza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Sarmiento ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Pedro Manzanares managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when RACIN DE CHAWEN's Rufo Serra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Xulian Abellan hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Abram Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Rufo Serra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Marco Pedriza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of RACIN DE CHAWEN booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Carballar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Marco Pedriza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 56th minute of play. Marco Pedriza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 63rd minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rufo Serra, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pedriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute of the match, Axel Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marco Pedriza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Santino Seco took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Marco Pedriza to make any attempt to save it. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The RACIN DE CHAWEN fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
