The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfredo Otoniel. That made the score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Everardo Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Otoniel having to interfere. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Otoniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Otoniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everardo Calvino struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PiCaNTeS FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Otoniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Felix Montenegro in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by PiCaNTeS FC's Siro Urki. The crowd rose to their feet as PiCaNTeS FC's Leo Messi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 3-2 after 61 minutes of play. 68 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Otoniel. PiCaNTeS FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Rodrigo De Paul hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rdth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PiCaNTeS FC's Alfredo Otoniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Everardo Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Rodrigo De Paul tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after PiCaNTeS FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
