Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amos Iovine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Amos Iovine in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Pocobello kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Amos Iovine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amos Iovine, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Canzano in the 34th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Teddy Team got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Flavio Gargano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Flavio Gargano made a great header on Teddy Team's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amos Iovine. That made the score 1-1 in the 40 minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amos Iovine. Amos Iovine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Teddy Team's corner Flavio Gargano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Teddy Team's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Amos Iovine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Teddy Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Teddy Team's Amos Iovine managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 73rd match minute, Teddy Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Sciotto to maneuver through the defense. Teddy Team's Amos Iovine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Teddy Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Serra didn't get a good kick on the ball.
