A collision led to Teddy Team getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Antonello Spitaleri hit a great ball. Teddy Team's Amos Iovine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Marinelli in the 13th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Marinelli scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Diego Marinelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amos Iovine came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 18th minute. In the 24th minute, Flavio Gargano made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Amos Iovine made a huge save. 36 minutes into the match, Teddy Team's goalkeeper Amos Iovine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. 41 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teddy Team the free kick. When Federico Canzano came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Teddy Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Canzano couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Gargano came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Canzano in the 51st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amos Iovine saved Teddy Team from getting behind. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Teddy Team's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Canzano got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Teddy Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Amos Iovine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Federico Canzano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-3. After 72 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Teddy Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Federico Canzano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Federico Canzano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Marinelli in the 85th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Teddy Team booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Federico Canzano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Federico Canzano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
