When Salvador Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Salvador Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Eneas, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Aquiles Castulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Jose Correa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aquiles Castulo. The goal made the score 1-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aquiles Castulo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 21 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. With a little luck, MOEBIO's Aquiles Castulo got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Flavio Eneas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MOEBIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to MOEBIO getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Flavio Eneas hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aquiles Castulo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Aquiles Castulo made a huge save. Aquiles Castulo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute, one of MOEBIO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MOEBIO. The goalkeeper, Aquiles Castulo, was totally fooled by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas, who 39 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 42 minutes in the game Guillermo Mariano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tomas Illescas. With a little luck, MOEBIO's Aquiles Castulo got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goalkeeper Aquiles Castulo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 45th minute Jonathan Venegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Castulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Aquiles Castulo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquiles Castulo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Castulo having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Aquiles Castulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aquiles Castulo having to make a save. Emanuel Mel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Aquiles Castulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Guillermo Mariano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aquiles Castulo. MOEBIO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guillermo Mariano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Tomas Illescas sped through MOEBIO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aquiles Castulo. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Mel in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Castulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquiles Castulo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After 85 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Aquiles Castulo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Aquiles Castulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Venezuela players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
