But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Gol couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Edmundo Espiga hit a great ball. Gustavo Gol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Jardel Messias with Nicanor Elequemedo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 30 minutes, Cristiano Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tribos 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Gustavo Gol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tribos 4EVER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 34 minutes into the match, Tribos 4EVER's Gustavo Gol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute of the match Tribos 4EVER got a corner. Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicanor Elequemedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Tribos 4EVER booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Gustavo Gol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tribos 4EVER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Gol in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jardel Messias, made in the 95th minute of the game. Honduras's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Tribos 4EVER had won, even though Honduras had held more of the ball.
