The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 12 minutes into the match, DREAM TEAM WORLD's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Lu Zhen Sheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, USA's Cassius Byrne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lu Zhen Sheng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Lu Zhen Sheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 23rd minute of play. Elpidio Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Mcdonald took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lu Zhen Sheng. Lu Zhen Sheng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, DREAM TEAM WORLD's Rômulo Custódio got a free kick in the 41st minute. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Lu Zhen Sheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match USA got a corner. DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick.

DREAM TEAM WORLD's Lu Zhen Sheng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save DREAM TEAM WORLD from getting a goal against them. Lu Zhen Sheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Andrzej Zapolski scored 1-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Paulo Jon was substituted for Elpidio Curcio. The DREAM TEAM WORLD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
