Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Los Mejores Juveniles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Agustín Saelices got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Heine Ulf quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Heine Ulf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Los Mejores Juveniles's Heine Ulf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. Heine Ulf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Teobaldo Cambranes came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Los Mejores Juveniles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Cambranes couldn't finish the play. Heine Ulf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play. Hernan Sidoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heine Ulf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heine Ulf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Cambranes, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play forced Los Mejores Juveniles's goalkeeper Heine Ulf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Cambranes in the 36th minute of play. Heine Ulf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Montes during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Los Mejores Juveniles booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Alvarez. Heine Ulf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Heine Ulf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teobaldo Cambranes to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Los Mejores Juveniles got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Izotz. Daniel Zorita, 55 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Harkaitz in the 61st minute of play. Heine Ulf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 67 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Heine Ulf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heine Ulf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Nicanor Harkaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Mejores Juveniles's Heine Ulf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Los Mejores Juveniles from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Heine Ulf, 0-2. If Teobaldo Cambranes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Heine Ulf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Los Mejores Juveniles's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Heine Ulf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
