Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) 3 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's Anak Selby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anak Selby. A collision led to Begu Ganjang getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Ponaryo Mangindaan hit a great ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 12 in the game by Anak Selby from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Anak Selby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Anak Selby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Begu Ganjang's Tạ I played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Begu Ganjang got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Aurelianu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ahmet Harun Alptekin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Anak Selby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Begu Ganjang got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Aurelianu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ahmet Harun Alptekin made a great header on Begu Ganjang's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Tạ I took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anak Selby hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Tạ I reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tạ I took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Begu Ganjang's Tạ I. Tạ I was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anak Selby struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Begu Ganjang. The Begu Ganjang players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

55 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's goalkeeper Tạ I had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. 58 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tạ I. Begu Ganjang's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Begu Ganjang's Sebastian Cipău got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anak Selby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tạ I made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the game, Begu Ganjang's David Trezeguet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Trezeguet in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, David Trezeguet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Trezeguet, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Begu Ganjang's David Trezeguet. But to his dismay, David Trezeguet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 93 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's David Trezeguet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
