After 21 minutes of play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Geovani Sanches ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Jereba 4EVER's Dito Quirino was substituted for Geovani Sanches. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enio Linares went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the game, Dito Quirino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. The Jereba 4EVER players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
