Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lizardi Montanez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play forced Sporting Chilcano's goalkeeper Lizardi Montanez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Lizardi Montanez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 16 minutes into the game, Armando Santotis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lizardi Montanez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After 27 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Modestio Cañucal who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Modestio Cañucal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Lizardi Montanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Sporting Chilcano's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Lizardi Montanez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Sporting Chilcano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lizardi Montanez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 34 minutes into the match, Juan Sebastián Puig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lizardi Montanez. Sporting Chilcano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Sebastián Puig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Armando Santotis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Gil Gascon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lizardi Montanez came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Lizardi Montanez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Lizardi Montanez made a huge save. In the 57th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lizardi Montanez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lizardi Montanez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sporting Chilcano made a substitution. Baiarte Cerdeira replaced Asier Abello. In the 68th match minute, Sporting Chilcano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Veguri to maneuver through the defense. Baiarte Cerdeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Santotis's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Sporting Chilcano defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lizardi Montanez. The Sporting Chilcano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lizardi Montanez should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lizardi Montanez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lizardi Montanez having to interfere. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez did a great save. Luis Andino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 94th playminute. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Chilcano.
