The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guilherme Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of the match. Xalbador Navas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Iranzo in the 21st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After having played for 54 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sanea Weerarak, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Alagoano having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Iranzo in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC PROSPE's Guilherme Alagoano. Guilherme Alagoano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xalbador Navas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC PROSPE's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
