Ivo de Sousa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Manzanares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Ivo de Sousa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ernesto Padro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Padro having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Bacho Team's zone, Ignacio Mastache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Padro came out of the goal and Ignacio Mastache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Ferrando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Bacho Team's Hernan Ferrando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Montrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Ferrando came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Marrone in the 86th minute of the match. Bacho Team's Ernesto Padro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Luis Cazalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Cazalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abram Secada might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Padro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Secada ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bacho Team fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
