With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg György Solti saved Százhalombattai VUK SE from getting behind. György Solti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Copil in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Százhalombattai VUK SE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt was slow to take the kick. During this time Manchester United's players had a chance to rest. György Solti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Copil's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Solti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Ivan Copil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of György Solti. Százhalombattai VUK SE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Copil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Manchester United were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Kosmas Simertzidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. György Solti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. György Solti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Copil, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. György Solti made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt sent off a good shot on target. After 86 played minutes Százhalombattai VUK SE got a freekick which was hit by Károly Benedek. György Solti came out of the goal and Spyros Karastamatis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Százhalombattai VUK SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márk Vargha didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Manchester United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Százhalombattai VUK SE.
