The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eugenio Manfredi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caicedo Berrondo in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Silveira in the 56th minute of play forced Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Eugenio Manfredi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Epifani replaced Dário Pereira. 63 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Caicedo Berrondo came free, but Eugenio Manfredi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oso Amezaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Caicedo Berrondo came free, but Eugenio Manfredi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Oso Amezaga throw himself and got hold of the ball when Joel Hibai in the 75thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fedele Panza got free with Oso Amezaga in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C.A. GUAYACO's Mendoza Joseph was substituted for Caicedo Berrondo. Lunatics of Arianrhod were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after C.A. GUAYACO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Hibai took the corner. Oso Amezaga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Hibai went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Fedele Panza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Oso Amezaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Mendoza Joseph managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. GUAYACO's supporters rose to their feet, but Mendoza Joseph was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Manfredi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mendoza Joseph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lunatics of Arianrhod eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
