Chucho Dean was a little too slow when Urtzi Villafranca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jorge Bojarte scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zumar Cariton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Carabalí Flamenco put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Chucho Dean. 25 minutes into the game, Astillero del Guayas's Paiva Escabi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zumar Cariton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Chucho Dean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Parisi Carretero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Bojarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cojiemies FC booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Urquiza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35th play minutes Parisi Carretero shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Chucho Dean and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 38th minute, Carabalí Flamenco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chucho Dean was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Chucho Dean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parisi Carretero in the 42nd minute of play. Ximun Tocos's late challenge caught a Cojiemies FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ximun Tocos helped the player get up and apologised. When Marco Urquiza fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Marco Urquiza a yellow card for diving instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

In the 51st minute Jorge Bojarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zumar Cariton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astillero del Guayas's Chucho Dean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carabalí Flamenco in the 52nd minute of play. Edson Fortuño charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edson Fortuño the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, Cojiemies FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Fortuño to maneuver through the defense. When Garcia Jado came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Astillero del Guayas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garcia Jado couldn't finish the play. Chucho Dean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carabalí Flamenco in the 58th minute of the match. Chucho Dean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parisi Carretero in the 60th minute of play. Chucho Dean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carabalí Flamenco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Parisi Carretero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chucho Dean was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After 68 minutes of play, Cojiemies FC's Carabalí Flamenco made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chucho Dean was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the match, Cojiemies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paiva Escabi came free, but Zumar Cariton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Carabalí Flamenco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cojiemies FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carabalí Flamenco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Ramiro Anguciana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Chucho Dean was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Cojiemies FC's Urtzi Villafranca got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Chucho Dean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Parisi Carretero in the 85th minute of the match. Chucho Dean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parisi Carretero in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garcia Jado in the 92nd minute of play forced Cojiemies FC's goalkeeper Zumar Cariton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chucho Dean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Parisi Carretero, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Cojiemies FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Astillero del Guayas for a fine match.
