In the 18th minute Ivan Copil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xayvion Lojo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kosmas Simertzidis had several of the Astillero del Guayas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Xayvion Lojo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Xayvion Lojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kosmas Simertzidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Castro Rilo hit a great ball. Xayvion Lojo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kosmas Simertzidis in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Spyros Karastamatis came free, but Xayvion Lojo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xayvion Lojo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kosmas Simertzidis went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute, Kosmas Simertzidis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, Kosmas Simertzidis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xayvion Lojo. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xayvion Lojo should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Ivan Copil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Xayvion Lojo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Massey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute Lucas Massey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Puric saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ivan Copil made the kick off in the second half. Xayvion Lojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Copil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Ivan Copil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xayvion Lojo was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 61st minute, Kosmas Simertzidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 minutes of play, Manchester United's Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xayvion Lojo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manchester United's Iosif Puric played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Urquiza in the 68th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Iosif Puric successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Astillero del Guayas's Xayvion Lojo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Gustavo Oro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iosif Puric came out of the goal and Gustavo Oro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the game, Ivan Copil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Xayvion Lojo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kosmas Simertzidis in the 96th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Xayvion Lojo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Manchester United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
