The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Jipa RO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Konopka to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel de Godoi in the 9th minute of play forced Jipa RO's goalkeeper Fabinho Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jipa RO's Fabinho Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Vianna in the 10th minute of play. Yuri da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norbert Konopka's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. When Jipa RO's Norbert Konopka in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olivedos's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Jipa RO defense, Abel de Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabinho Prestes. The Jipa RO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabinho Prestes should have stopped the shot. Fabinho Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel de Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. Fabinho Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jipa RO's Fabinho Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Abel de Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fabinho Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 61 played minutes Jipa RO got a freekick which was hit by Haruki Murakami. Jipa RO's Fabinho Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 71st minute of play. Bruno Henrique kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jipa RO's Evair Gøl was substituted for Nicolás Otamendi. Jipa RO's Júlio Koehler was substituted for Hector Morientes.
