Thanks to some nice moves Norbert Konopka could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Dinei Pinheiro however easily saved by the left post. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by SeleSantos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hector Morientes was slow to take the kick. During this time Jipa RO's players had a chance to rest. SeleSantos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when 邓轩升 scored to the left of an out of position Dinei Pinheiro, making the score, 2-0. A hard shot 25 in the game by Norbert Konopka from a close distance when the talented Dinei Pinheiro managed to make a qualified save. SeleSantos FC's players were relieved. Fabinho Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 43 minutes SeleSantos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hector Morientes who took care of the corner kick. Wanderson Terra hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glauco Mendes got free with Dinei Pinheiro in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The attack was good, but when Glauco Mendes in the 46th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jipa RO's Fabinho Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Törnqvist in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norbert Konopka was the one to do the kick off. Leif Törnqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Fabinho Prestes made a huge save. Dinei Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norbert Konopka's shot from short distance in the 57th minute.
