In the 12th minute, Vila Zumbi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edgardo Silva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Vila Zumbi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgardo Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antoni Beninda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Guilherme Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgardo Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Antoni Beninda firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vila Zumbi's Antoni Beninda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Vila Zumbi from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute Kang Fan Xiang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Kang Fan Xiang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Zumbi's supporters rose to their feet, but Kang Fan Xiang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremy Nicholas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Vila Zumbi's Jeremy Nicholas threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maciej Marchlewicz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kang Fan Xiang in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy Nicholas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antoni Beninda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Nordmark in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Vila Zumbi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdi Kadıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tio Lio in the 84th minute of play forced Vila Zumbi's goalkeeper Antoni Beninda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. New England Minas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Maciej Marchlewicz scored to the left of an out of position Jeremy Nicholas, making the score, 1-2. The Vila Zumbi players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
