Dinei Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 7th minute Niilo Mikkola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Vítor Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Sand in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by SeleSantos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jean-Paul Møffelmand was slow to take the kick. During this time ITAFUT 4EVER's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached José Sand at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of SeleSantos FC. 0-2. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by SeleSantos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jean-Paul Møffelmand was slow to take the kick. During this time ITAFUT 4EVER's players had a chance to rest. Dinei Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Rico in the 29th minute of the match. Dinei Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Sand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Sand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinei Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, José Sand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ITAFUT 4EVER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Niilo Mikkola made the kick off in the second half. José Sand struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Dinei Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ITAFUT 4EVER. In the 52nd minute, Niklas Bergdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Sand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Dinei Pinheiro made a huge save. Dinei Pinheiro was a little too slow when José Sand got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-4. ITAFUT 4EVER's Jardel Baggio was substituted for José Sand. ITAFUT 4EVER made a substitution. Sidney Bertassi replaced Evelio Rico. In the 66th match minute, ITAFUT 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Best to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Baggio in the 68th minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Baggio came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vânderson de Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SeleSantos FC's protests and gave Vânderson de Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SeleSantos FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Vânderson de Moraes hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute of the match, Jardel Baggio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dinei Pinheiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The corner ended in Durval Nascimento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro did a great save. Nilson Peres came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by SeleSantos FC's Jacobo Casado. But to his dismay, Jacobo Casado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 77th minute, Jardel Baggio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82ndth minute of the game Jardel Baggio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 1-5 became the score in the 84th minute when Jardel Baggio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of ITAFUT 4EVER booed when SeleSantos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pedro Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, ITAFUT 4EVER's Dinei Pinheiro threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Boguslaw Tarasek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 93rd minute of the match, Jardel Baggio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dinei Pinheiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Boguslaw Tarasek managed to get in a good position for a shot. ITAFUT 4EVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Boguslaw Tarasek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinei Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boguslaw Tarasek, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The ITAFUT 4EVER supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ITAFUT 4EVER would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
