Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Patrik Sikström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Seterma Tractors's Abelardo Maranhense threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Acácio Santana, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luís Novaes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seterma Tractors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luisinho Ceresso was slow to take the kick. During this time Olivedos's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Seterma Tractors's goalie and right to Cássio Ferraz. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Seterma Tractors's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Olivedos getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Magno Sampaio hit a great ball. Olivedos's attentive Tony Schmidt managed to snatch the ball when Paulo Renato Pombal made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goalkeeper Abelardo Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enéas de Toledo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel de Godoi in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Sikström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Patrik Sikström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Seterma Tractors's zone, Abel de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrik Sikström came out of the goal and Abel de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Olivedos's Abel de Godoi in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seterma Tractors's goalie prevented a goal. Abel de Godoi took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrik Sikström. Patrik Sikström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Magno Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ademir Tande to make the kick off. If Abel de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Seterma Tractors's Patrik Sikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas de Toledo came free, but Abelardo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seterma Tractors's goalkeeper Patrik Sikström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Olivedos's Abel de Godoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patrik Sikström. Patrik Sikström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel de Godoi got free with Patrik Sikström in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Santana in the 62nd minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Abelardo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel de Godoi took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrik Sikström. Patrik Sikström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Patrik Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Abel de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Patrik Sikström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seterma Tractors made a substitution. Mário Mota replaced Acácio Santana. Patrik Sikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel de Godoi in the 76th minute of the match. Patrik Sikström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Abel de Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrik Sikström having to make a save. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Abel de Godoi sped through Seterma Tractors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Patrik Sikström. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Paulo Renato Pombal with Aníbal Mesquita as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 94th minute, Abel de Godoi made a precise shot to the right of Patrik Sikström. Seterma Tractors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. The Seterma Tractors supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Olivedos's performance. The match ended with a win for Olivedos.
