In the 18th minute Unidad de Matanza were awarded a corner. Martin Grøtterud went to the cornerflag to take it. Unidad de Matanza's Martin Grøtterud was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jax Williamson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 20th minute Michal Stehno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Koby Wright had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goal looked a bit too open when Koby Wright came free, but Jonatan Eguzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Jonatan Eguzki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luka Harris. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máximo Kirchner in the 28th minute of the match. Unidad de Matanza's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Alfred John scored to the left of an out of position Jonatan Eguzki, making the score, 1-0. Canada's Carter George quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Freddy Quintyn, made in the 35th minute of the game. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Kirchner, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute Michal Stehno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Unidad de Matanza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Zemeckis to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Koby Wright from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Jonatan Eguzki's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 40th minute of the match Canada got a corner. Unidad de Matanza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Koby Wright ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Koby Wright's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Eguzki was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michal Stehno to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Máximo Kirchner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute of the match Unidad de Matanza got a corner. Canada's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martin Grøtterud ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Michal Stehno got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jax Williamson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Michal Stehno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jax Williamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute Filip Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Eguzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michal Stehno. 65 minutes into the game, Rohan Watson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonatan Eguzki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonatan Eguzki came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Canada's Filip Edwards. But to his dismay, Filip Edwards quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filip Edwards in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonatan Eguzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Theo Burton sped through Unidad de Matanza's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonatan Eguzki. Jax Williamson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Bâru in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute Filip Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Eguzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Canada's Theo Burton managed to work through Unidad de Matanza's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Theo Burton dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Canada fans cheered their team off the field, for while Unidad de Matanza had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
