Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Paul Ramon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Basualdo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Basualdo got free with Paul Ramon in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Regis Padriña came free, but Hermann Hesse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Paul Ramon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Basualdo. After some careless play in the Deportivo Popolizio FBC defense, Enrique Cassaretto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermann Hesse. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermann Hesse should have stopped the shot. Araoz Solanos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartolo Basualdo was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Araoz Solanos in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Humberto Requena. Juan Manuel Vargas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hermann Hesse firmly grabbed it by the left post. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Erruki Velarroa replaced Bartolo Basualdo. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Tibor Nyilasi was substituted for Gaizkine Ibern. In the 61st minute of the match Peru got a corner. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fe Nestares ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 63rd minute, Aresti Temporal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Ramon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjørn Trondsen in the 64th minute of the match. Hermann Hesse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xuaco Oñaederra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul Ramon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erruki Velarroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Peru's attentive Xuaco Oñaederra managed to snatch the ball when Cleto Trasagua made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. Xuaco Oñaederra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Hermann Hesse made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Niklas Hägglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Hermann Hesse successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 93 minutes into the game, Torbjørn Trondsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Paul Ramon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 96 minutes of play, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Damian Regulez made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paul Ramon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Deportivo Popolizio FBC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Peru for a fine match.
