After 11 minutes, Joshua Garrido made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Axel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Patricio Ugutz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Axel Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patricio Ugutz. That made the score 2-1 after 20 minutes of play. Barcellos Mineiro FC's attentive Amerigo Gervasi managed to snatch the ball when Luis Cazalla made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Colombia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Barcellos Mineiro FC a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Radul Kokalov, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. 2-3. In the 35th minute, Dale Dolar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcellos Mineiro FC the free kick. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Abram Sarmiento hit a great ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Dolar in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Dale Dolar made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Dale Dolar notched a goal, 2-7, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
