The supporters of Bisca F.C booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doriva Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10thth minute of the game Doriva Pombal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Doriva Pombal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Doriva Pombal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doriva Pombal got free with Julio Vera in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrézinho Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doriva Pombal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Doriva Pombal slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 27th minute. Andrézinho Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute. Bisca F.C's Andrézinho Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luis Andino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrézinho Viana was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Andrézinho Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Augusto de Salles in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doriva Pombal was the one to do the kick off. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Andrézinho Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Neno Ruychev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Doriva Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bisca F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Doriva Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 60 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Jefferson Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, Doriva Pombal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doriva Pombal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Viana having to interfere. Bisca F.C made a substitution. Jan Söderberg replaced Doriva Pombal. 78 minutes into the match, Jan Söderberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Söderberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 87 minutes into the match, Bisca F.C's Neno Ruychev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bisca F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
