With a little luck, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petrică Cândreanu who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's corner Petrică Cândreanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. After 59 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Baldomiro Txindoki came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilson Arósio. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Wilson Arósio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Baldomiro Txindoki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Petrică Cândreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
