The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. The Pedro Manzanares was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, René Puente left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballet Azul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Odín Enríquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Odín Enríquez in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. In the 83rd minute of the match Ballet Azul got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Waclaw Dombrowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ballet Azul's Waclaw Dombrowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Manzanares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascual Carballar got free with José Luis Chilavert in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eladio Ulloa in the 88th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Odín Enríquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ballet Azul fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
