Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Eduardo dos Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rei Messi in the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Vânderson Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Modrić in the 11th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo dos Santos having to interfere. Luís Eduardo dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Luís Eduardo dos Santos made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Rei Messi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Rei Messi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Corumbaense F.C. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rayan Rodrigues during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Corumbaense F.C.'s Rayan Rodrigues got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 41 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. With a little luck, Corumbaense F.C.'s Luís Eduardo dos Santos got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Fred Ferreira made the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Camargo in the 55th minute of play. Fred Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rei Messi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 59 minute of play. In the 66th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vânderson Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Camilo Gaos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Camilo Gaos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corumbaense F.C.:s goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Fred Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
